Catholic Culture

Altar boys, not Altar girls. This is the hope of the church. Traditional parishes that support and encourage traditional roles for Altar boys inspire vocations to the Priesthood. The priest becomes their role model, this is where they find the call to serve the Church. We need more young people to understand and want to love and preserve the Church and Her timeless traditions. This is what the Church needs, young people carrying on and holding to tradition, because it's our only hope for the future. St. John Berchmans, pray for us!

Excuse Me Your Holiness..

Here Jorge Mario Bergoglio (Pope Francis) assists at Jewish worship.

The 1917 Code of Canon Law states: that: " It is not permitted at all for the faithful to assist in any active manner at or to have any part in the worship of non-Catholics." [Canon 1258]

"How does a Catholic sin against faith? A Catholic sins against Faith by Apostasy, heresy, indifferentism and by taking part in non-Catholic worship." (Catechism of the Council of Trent, Catechism of Pope St. Pius X).

Pope Paul VI

There are many opinions out there about Paul VI. To liberals and progressives he's a saint, a great forward thinking pope. To traditionalists, he's the ultimate modernist who destroyed the Mass and abandoned the Papal Tiara. I personally have mixed feelings about the Pontiff. I believe that he was a faithful servant of Christ and his Church, but I also believe that what he did was completely misguided and harmful for the Church. By no means is he a great pope. He was a liberal who didn't understand what the church needed at the time (the 1960s.) Hmm, sounds familiar no? Does Pope Francis possibly come to mind? At least Paul VI acted like the pope, unlike Francis. I guess that was one good thing about Paul VI.
