The Papal Throne: The Good Old Days

The Last Public Mass of Benedict XVI

What We've Lost

Are we living in the new age of Catholic Progressivism? I pray these terrible days come to an end soon. We came so far with Benedict XVI, and Francis is leading us down a dangerous path.

Pope Paul VI

There are many opinions out there about Paul VI. To liberals and progressives he's a saint, a great forward thinking pope. To traditionalists, he's the ultimate modernist who destroyed the Mass and abandoned the Papal Tiara. I personally have mixed feelings about the Pontiff. I believe that he was a faithful servant of Christ and his Church, but I also believe that what he did was completely misguided and harmful for the Church. By no means is he a great pope. He was a liberal who didn't understand what the church needed at the time (the 1960s.) Hmm, sounds familiar no? Does Pope Francis possibly come to mind? At least Paul VI acted like the pope, unlike Francis. I guess that was one good thing about Paul VI.
